Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our highest priority. Please read these guidelines before any expedition.

Important Notice

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in serious injury or death. All clients must sign our safety waiver before commencing any expedition.

Before Your Trek

  • Complete a medical fitness check-up before booking any high-altitude trek
  • Inform us of any existing medical conditions (heart, lung, diabetes, etc.)
  • Purchase comprehensive travel and medical evacuation insurance
  • Train with regular cardio exercises at least 8 weeks before departure
  • Familiarise yourself with altitude sickness symptoms (AMS)

Essential Gear

  • Wear layered clothing suitable for sub-zero temperatures at high altitude
  • Always carry a certified first-aid kit on the trail
  • Use trekking poles to reduce knee strain on descents
  • Carry a personal water purification system or purification tablets
  • Never trek without a headlamp and extra batteries

Altitude & Acclimatisation

  • Ascend no more than 300–500 m in altitude per day above 3,000 m
  • Follow the principle: 'climb high, sleep low'
  • Drink 3–4 litres of water daily to stay hydrated
  • Never ignore symptoms of AMS — descend immediately if they worsen
  • Consult our guides before taking Diamox or any altitude medication

On the Trail

  • Always trek with a certified Alpine Himalayas guide
  • Never separate from your group without notifying your guide
  • Register your trek with the local authorities as directed by your guide
  • Follow all route briefings provided each morning
  • Carry a fully charged mobile phone and know emergency numbers

Emergency Procedures

  • Emergency contact: +91 8192936477 (24/7 during active expeditions)
  • Helicopter evacuation can be arranged — ensure your insurance covers it
  • Nearest hospitals are briefed before each expedition
  • All our guides are Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified
  • In case of emergency, your guide has a satellite communication device

Environmental Responsibility

  • Carry all waste out of the trek — leave no trace
  • Use designated toilet facilities or follow cat-hole method
  • Do not disturb wildlife or pick plants
  • Use eco-friendly, biodegradable products wherever possible
  • Respect local customs, shrines, and community rules
